While the miner is able to switch intelligently between spaces/windows without duplicating work there is an edge case I found today where the miner may start in a non-visible window. This is unexpected behavior in beta 16 and will be fixed. To reproduce open TxS in YaBrowser, switch spaces or windows, then plug 'er in.
